An Unlikely Invitation

“A mysterious object has landed in The Forest.”

An Unlikely Invitation is the first Main Quest in Fallout 76’s Skyline Valley Expansion. Players are tasked with locating a mysterious object that has landed The Forest. The mysterious object is located not far from the Wayword and just outside of the Town of Sutton.

This quest is designed to be a breadcrumb that leads players to Vault 63 located in the Ash Heap. When players arrive the next quest in chain will begin.

Quest Walkthrough

  • I've picked up a Vault-Tec radio signal. I should tune my Pip-Boy to listen in.

  • I've received a Vault-Tec emergency broadcast requesting assistance. The signal appears to be coming from just outside of Sutton. I should investigate.

  • I've arrived at the broadcast's origin, and it appears that a Vault door has crashed into the highway. I should speak to the settler nearby to see if they know what happened.

  • I met a Settler named Alyssa by the crashed Vault door. Alyssa suggested the door came from Vault 63 in the Ash Heap. I should head that way to check it out.
