Project History
Dawn of America is an upcoming Enclave quest mod, set in the commonwealth aiming to patch the lore and gameplay holes related to Enclave lore Bethesda and Interplay has created. In our mod, the Enclave won't be evil just for the sake of being evil. We are making sure to give meaning and the way to their actions. Our Enclave will be joinable.
The Workflow
To enable my work on Dawn of America, I use the Fallout 4 Creation Kit editor to white box and develop environments. The other tools I use are:
Kanban Boards to track and keep the team updated on what I’m working on.
Discord for team communication and to collaborate with fellow level designers.
Reference images to design a concept for levels.
Photoshop to create moldboards using some of the reference images used to design locations
Google Docs to write location lore, sides quests and pitch documents for any ideas I come up with.
The Online Studio
Dawn of America consists of 30 team members worldwide; all bring their own unique skills sets and ideas to the project. We use various tools such as GitHub, Trello, Discord and Google docs to effectively communicate with each other and allow us to bring this amazing project to many Fallout fans that want more Encalve content.
Chase Airforce Base
A brand new explorable world space! Featuring main quests and an unforgettable, unique side story featuring a new mechanic and multiple endings.
The Wolcott Complex Bunker 2
Abandoned and sealed 15 years after the great war with no survivors escaping the mysterious lockdown. Enclave forces are yet to gain access and uncover the mystery of what lies within. It is your job to finally piece together this mystery Sergeant.
Inspired by an old WW2 Military Airports
Due to never designing a level/world space around a Military Airport before I needed reference images and due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic at the times I couldn’t go and visit any local historical WW2 museums but I did have google. Spent hours browsing before I found an old airbase aerial photo that I liked the look of. This aerial photo can be seen on the right.
